We can’t impress the Almighty with your prayers. We should stand in front of the Lord, humble and submitted, devoted and focused:

And stand straight – humbled, in front of your Lord in prayer

We should not try to put on our best spiritual clothes but rather come to the Lord with a sense of reality, showing Him that we are aware of our flaws and mistakes, shortcomings and sins.

The flaws we deny to have break us, those who we admit to have make us; as acknowledging them will allow us to work on them.

Whenever someone humbles himself for the sake of Allah, Allah will elevate his rank.

Prophet Mohammed صلى الله عليه وسلم

Pride was never a good thing, and certainly not in front of the Almighty. When you pray, come to Allah with the disposition of a beggar, be true, be real and ask Him to help you, to transform you, to allow you to become the best version of yourself.
